This Terms of Use & Privacy Policy applies to the AICompanion mobile application (Google Play package name com.poon1214.AICompanion), published on Google Play by Alpha Dwarf Studio (the developer, referred to here as “we”, “us” or “the developer”). The characters in this app are AI companions, not real people. Nothing they say reflects real events, real people, or real advice. This app is for entertainment purposes only.

The developer is not responsible for anything a character says or generates. AI-generated text can be inaccurate, inconsistent, or upsetting - do not rely on it for factual, medical, legal, financial, or emotional guidance.

Terms of Use

By using this app, you agree that all characters, dialogue, and voices are fictional and generated by on-device AI models. Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, is coincidental. You must be old enough in your jurisdiction to use apps with mature/romantic fictional content.

You agree not to use this app to generate or distribute illegal content, and to use it at your own risk. The app and its AI-generated content are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The developer disclaims all liability for any content generated during use of the app, and for any decisions or actions you take based on it.

Child Safety

Every companion character has a built-in safety feature: if a conversation asks the character to claim or pretend to be underage, the app detects this on-device using a dedicated pattern-matching check and automatically ends the session. This runs independently of the AI model's own replies, so it doesn't depend on the AI "choosing" to refuse.

Because this check is pattern-based, it can occasionally be triggered by unrelated conversation (for example, mentioning your own age or a family member's) - milder cases just show a warning, but a strong match ends the session immediately. We'd rather have it trigger too often than risk it staying silent when it matters, and we're actively refining these patterns to reduce false alarms.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is provided by Alpha Dwarf Studio, the developer of the AICompanion app (com.poon1214.AICompanion) on Google Play, and describes how the app handles your information.

Your player name, created characters, conversation history, and settings are stored only on your device. This app does not have user accounts and does not upload your conversations or personal data to any server. Alpha Dwarf Studio does not collect, receive, or have access to this data.

Microphone access is used only to let you talk to your character during a chat session - recorded audio is processed on-device for speech recognition and is not stored permanently or sent anywhere.

On first use, the app downloads AI model files (voice, speech-recognition, and language model) and some character appearance art (hats, outfits, hairstyles) from Hugging Face over the internet so it can run entirely on-device afterward. These downloads do not include any of your personal data.

Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored data, including characters and conversation history.

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change and the revised policy will be posted at this URL.
